What CBA Yorkshire Can Do

 


Who We Are

CBA Yorkshire is a voluntary organisation which aims to promote Community Archaeology within Yorkshire

We achieve this through a membership of Interested Individuals and a network of Affiliated Groups

We also encourage participation and cooperation with professional groups,
namely Academics and Commercial Archaeology Units.

 


What We Do For You

Publishing including the annual journal Forum, Forum+ and the new Monograph Series

Running Conferences, online talks (such as the Fireside Chats) and day schools

Maintaining a Calendar of Relevant Events across Yorkshire       

Making grants to Members and Affiliate groups

Sponsoring/undertaking/publishing research for the benefit of our members

Acting as an umbrella group and referral body across regional and national centres of expertise

Lobbying decision-makers and influencers for Yorkshire’s heritage

We are a voluntary organisation and welcome help and support from members.  

The management committee is elected at the Annual General Meeting each year but you don’t
have to be a committee member to offer to help us with our range of activities or to suggest new ideas
