Rivers4Life

Rivers4Life summer exhibition showcases the work of the Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trust, and including art produced in the Rivers4Life workshops.

Thanks to National Lottery players the Rivers4Life 3-year project will allow us to deliver an exciting programme combining the arts and science, to reach a wider audience. We will be working with local schools and community groups along the rivers Wharfe, Swale, Ure, Nidd and Ouse, and their tributaries offering workshops to engage people through visual art, soundscapes, theatre, stop-frame animation and music; we’ll also be running guided walks, art workshops and family activity sessions during school holidays.

Through the project we will inspire children and communities about everything to do with rivers and wildlife.

We will also be continuing our schools workshops and running training sessions for teachers, leading guided river walks, and presenting an exciting bespoke community theatre performance about the River Ure at the Dales Countryside Museum on 27th and 28th June and during the Ripon Theatre Festival on 4th July.
