Thorns Guided Walk

David Johnson will lead us through the evidence of centuries of human habitation in the Ribblehead area.
Full details in the poster, but note the need for boots as the paths can be muddy after rain. We’ll be out for a while, so bring lunch and necessary refreshments. Sorry no dogs.
Parking at the informal layby near Gauber. We’ll have to walk along the road a bit, but it won’t be very far.
David Johnson will lead a walk that incorporate monastic history, Lodge Hall and barns, a “lost” north-south road, Thorns history, a packhorse birdge and a look at the area’s landforms.
