SUMMARY:[BMLHG] - Treasurer's House & the Green family
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Glennis Whyte. \n  \nBy the 19th century\, historic properties\, once owned by the aristocracy\, were being lived in by industrialists\, mill owners and other nouveau riche families.  These included the Treasurer’s House in York restored and remodelled by the eccentric\, multi-millionaire Frank Green. Glennis Whyte from the National Trust\, which now runs the allegedly haunted house\, will explain how Green planned his rise in society\, mixed with royalty\, but almost lost his reputation. \nBook your place at this talk by emailing Chris Shaw – cestlshaw@btinternet.com
