SUMMARY:Guided Tour of Thornborough's North Henge
DESCRIPTION:Tours run from 11am-12.30pm on Sunday 10th and 24th May and at 6-7.30pm on Wednesday 27th May\nThornborough Henges are a unique triple henge dating back to the Neolithic period and have a number of other significant features which are no longer easily visible. The northern henge is the best preserved henge of the three with impressive banks and ditches\, thanks to its covering of trees which were a relatively recent addition. \nYour tour guide will explain the interesting archaeological features that are in the north field but are no longer visible. SUMMARY:Eboracum Roman Festival 2026
DESCRIPTION:The Eboracum Roman Festival returns this May with a series of events and activities! \n \nJoin us on 23 and 24 May for the Living History encampment. Visitors can meet costumed interpreters\, enjoy re-enactments\, explore demonstrations of Roman Life. Families can chat to Roman soldiers\, see objects from daily life\, try Roman-style crafts and activities. Curators and historians from across York will offer object handling sessions and mini excavations to bring the city’s Roman past even closer. The Roman Festival will have something for everyone! \nThis year’s festival has been organised by the Yorkshire Museum in partnership with York Minster\, York Archaeology\, York Civic Trust and the University Of York.

As part of the installation of the heating network HFA are working alongside the team delivering the project to make observations on the archaeology that is revealed along its route.
